OUR STORY
The QLD NDIS/SDA roll out started in January 2019 and over the past 4 years has gathered pace to deliver homes for participants in areas of greatest need. We started working in this space when the rollout began and saw opportunities to create better outcomes for all involved through more diverse housing products catering to participant space and comfort.
We noticed that there have been many groups and individuals operating in this space, and many with fragmented knowledge and limited understanding of the NDIS/SDA concept and its processes. The NDIS/SDA rolled out in Canberra, NSW, and Victoria in 2016 and the main entities creating SDA housing were big institutions focused on building unit complexes for High Physical Support participants, and hardly any private housing investors involved in delivering homes in suburban environments for other category participants as well as HPS. Participant research has shown that the home style housing is the preferred model.
Over many months we researched building types and worked with builders and Service Providers to understand the compliance and registration details for NDIS/SDA funded housing. A lot of time and effort also went into understanding the intricacies of the NDIS legislation, the role of service providers, how they deal with eligible SDA participants, how the participants can have SDA funding written into to their care plans, and how to accurately interpret the price summary (there’s around 84 different variations). We also wanted to know the best tenant configurations, and the answers to the myriad of questions that are thrown up when moving through the process. This culminated in us applying for and being granted a Service Providers registration to manage participant accommodation country wide.
Our highly qualified people have also had many hours of NDIS/SDA education to get them proficient to our standards and be personally motivated by the opportunity to provide beneficial outcomes for participants and investors alike. We are very passionate about providing the best outcomes for all involved.
